Before the season I posted a list of 50 questions yet to be answered. I didn't intend it to be a comprehensive list, just 50 things that came to mind. Some of them are important and some of them are not. With another season in the books, let me break those original questions into three categories: answered by season 5, addressed by season 5, and unaddressed by season 5. Down the line I will post a list of questions raised during season 5, as well as those that I overlooked in compiling the original list.

Viewed in this context, I'd say Season 5 was about as satisfying as possible from a mythological standpoint. We learned a lot about Jacob, the Monster, DHARMA, Rousseau, the sickness...most of the questions that were not addressed at all are insignificant and were included here on my own whimsy. The crucial questions that weren't touched on are those involving Annie, Adam and Eve, Walt/Aaron, and the whispers. Everything else of import got at least a little screen time.
